REsolve o Kirkcaldy Galleries, March 2022

An exhibition curated by Mella Shaw for Fife Contemporary exploring sustainable practice in making. My Tipping Point mobile uses re-purposed plastic water bottles and milk cartons alongside a new hybrid porcelain-plastic material. This innovative new biodegradeable material was developed in collaboration between myself, Dr Sam Vitesse and Lynn Chalmers at Napier University, Edinburgh. Clay powder combined with polylactic acid (PLA) plastic makes a sustainable sheet material suitable for laser cutting. The clay powder remains unfired and can be industrially composted after use.
