HAG. KNOWLEDGE, POWER AND ALCHEMY THROUGH CRAFT o DUNFERMLINE March 2025

The Hag exhibition, curated by Kate Pickering, Kate Grenyer and the teams at On Fife and Fife Contemporary, celebrates the work of 13 older women who have dedicated their professional lives to their craft, creating works of stunning quality made with passion and skill. The exhibition aimed to focus attention on the powerful ways in which craft objects captivate us, and how their makers imbue them with meaning and story.

I was delighted to be included in this talented group of women - Lise Bech, Caroline Dear, Judith Davies, Claire Heminsley, Fiona Hutchison, Ruth Elizabeth Jones, Gilly Langton, Jo McDonald, Susie Redman, Patricia Shone, Amanda Simmons and Emma Wilson. Complimenting the exhibition and capturing the hands at work in the studio are the beautiful portrait images by Lydia Smith.

The exhibition will tour Scotland in 2027 and 2028.
