CRAFTING HAPPINESS

Over the last year I have been collaborating with Thai maker Ratchanok Ketboonruang to create a new international network bringing together creative practitioners in Scotland and Thailand to highlight the role of craft and making for health and well being. Our project has been supported with funding from the British Council Thailand, Connections Through Culture, and I am delighted that we have now been awarded a second round of funding to research the role of social prescribing in promoting creative activities for improving physical and mental health.

Below is a sculptural porcelain work, Evanesce, which explores the connections that are both made and lost through dementia.
