Aberdeen Art Gallery Collection

I was absolutely thrilled when the Friends of Aberdeen Art Gallery funded the purchase of three pieces of my work for their permanent collection. They chose pieces that had an environmentally conscious story to tell, including the After the Storm bottle made from grey porcelain reclaimed from my studio waste clay. The decoration is inspired by the broken branches that remain once the winter storms have passed, an urgent message from nature telling us to take better care of the world we all inhabit.

My Beloved Cherry Tree is a collection of sculptural vessels in porcelain that celebrate the life of the beautiful old cherry tree that featured in my garden until Storm Arwen brought it down. Living in a semi rural location I feel the impact of the climate crisis and want my work to draw attention to these urgent environmental issues.
